Will be checked again in April if not sooner.I have been on Anastrozole for 2 months after lumpectomy & 33 radiation treatments for breast cancer. would love to hear from others.I was on Letrozole for 5 years and had read it can raise cholesterol. They are all threatening to put me on insulin which I don't want. I am now worried that more issues are developing from all of these medications we need to take to prevent recurrence.I have been on Tamoxifen for 9 months after receiving a lumpectomy and lymph nodes removed and 30 treatments of radiation. Anastrozole does this by inhibiting the enzyme aromatase, which converts these androgens into estrogen.
