… I had really bad cystic acne under my skin before and after taking it i had 'normal' acne. But I have been to a dermatologist who has talked about the pill as a possible treatment for acne. Thanks a lot.Dermatologist visits never really were successful. I realize it's related to all the new hormones my body's having to deal with, so do I need to consider acne pills and another gel?

I've only ever tried Lo Loestrin Fe and that seemed to have helped in the beginning of me taking it but made my skin worse after a couple years.I have taken the pill against acne since I was 15, way before I needed it for birth control. I definitely got acne after taking Plan B. It’s basically a super high dose of hormones, so if you a prone to hormonal acne (like I am) it can cause things to go a little haywire. I am really depressed about this, and even feel sort of suicidal because of this. So a few weeks ago I took plan b and now I'm suffering from what I think is hormonal acne... my skin was relatively under control before, but it is also important I mention that my acne does flare up in the winter time...I'm pretty sure that the plan b caused this breakout and of course the fact that I already do break out during the fall/winter season isn't helping either.
