It must affect people who are prone to arthritis. i feel like if you dont get good follicles right away, give it a few months for your body to get used to it. No big deal, as the doctor never explained what the effects were when it came to trying to get pregnant.
I previously only took omega 3 fish oils! My body did not react well to clomid and I had much more positive results with letrozole.Also, I ate a ton of protein and very little carbs throughout the whole process.

I was just diagnosed with PCOS and hypothyroidism this month. my follicles didnt grow more than 10mm with many follicles less than 10mmm. Treatment will be taken over five consecutive days. it took me about 5-6 months for femara to start making a difference in me. However, I’m now on Letrozole, have been taking them for just over 12 months and am experiencing just about every single side effect listed and more. At the moment I am all about quality of life, but that is my choice.

We ended up getting pg that round and had an uneventful pregnancy, it was almost too easy given how many stories there are of women who struggle for years trying to get pg w pcos. It does take a long time for the side effects to disappear. We know it’s a worrying time for people with cancer. Sometimes you think these pains are never going to end but one day you realise how much better you are and you haven’t noticed, I hope this helps. my RE told me estrace sometimes counter reacts with femara and i discontinued using it. I did not have any radiotherapy or chemotherapy.I had side-effects with both Tamoxifen and Letrozole. This is an awesome community to vent, and get advice and insight.
I have now been on Palbociclib and Letrozole since March 2018 after developing bone mets in my pelvis a year after being diagnosed with breast cancer. My onc nurse told me to have a m9nths break so after 4 days of no letrozole there is no improvement at all. I can’t cope anymore with the pains and bone aches and I have already tried Anastrozole with similar problems. I am 68 and my Mum had breast cancer for 12 years. Everyone is different. I value quality of life. so im trying again this month with 5mg. Definitely work w an RE too!I have PCOS and was on letrozole and triggered. then we got worried there were too many since we didnt want the risk of multiples (on our 1 round of IUI). He said no & offered Tamoxifen, I said no. Just wondering how it went for you? I've done IUI's with Clomid with no success. I researched my problems before realising it was side effects, not the other way round, and made my decision to stop taking Letrozole.
